Disaster Recovery Quality Assurance Representative

Description:

In anticipation of a possible disaster, San Diego Project Management and Thompson Consulting Services is currently accepting applications from qualified candidates that are interested in temporary work as Disaster Recovery Quality Assurance Representatives throughout Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands in the unfortunate event that a disaster affects the area. The Disaster Recovery Quality Assurance Representative duties may include, but not be limited to the following:
• Inspection of temporary roofing, construction and repair, debris removal, and temporary housing
• Inspection of roof structures to verify damage claims and repair estimates
• Verify the volume of debris to be picked up by debris removal contractors
• Monitoring and documenting labor, materials and equipment used by contractors
• Mechanical and electrical inspection of hook up connections for temporary facilities such as mobile homes and trailers
• Compile data for reports including written descriptions, photographs, sketches, square feet of materials installed, charts, quantity of debris collected, hauled, processed and disposed, and number of trailer pads prepared, and trailers connected

• Can use GPS (Global Positions System) device and communications devices

Qualifications:
















• Must be available on short notice (1-7 days) for travel to areas affected.

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have the ability to work in the outside elements for long periods of time.
• Must have flexible schedule with the potential to work up to 12 hours a day and seven days a week. 
• Must have a current driver’s license.
• Drug screens are required.

• Provide proof of citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S

• Working knowledge of USACE EM-385-1-1 Safety Manual desirable

• 5 to 10 years of experience related to construction trades, quality control, routine inspections of site conditions materials and equipment is desired.

• For work in Puerto Rico, the ability to communicate in Spanish and English is desired.
